Charity Event
What: Charity Event to raise funds to help the victims in Merapi, Mentawai and Wasior Indonesia
Where: Grote Markt, Waagplein (behind the News Cafe)
When: 11 December 2010 (We already have the permit from the City Hall of Groningen) From 13.00 – 17.00
Who can participate? All the people in Groningen and nearby who wants to participate
Who made this? The Indonesian students in Groningen
What to show?
- Fashion Show : Showing the Indonesian Traditional Clothes
- Indonesian Traditional Dance
- Band Performing
- Poem Reading
- Food Selling (the revenue of this food selling will be distributed to the victims of Merapi, Mentawai and Wasior)
We have contacted and coordinated this action with the Red Cross. They are active in these three locations: Merapi, Mentawai and Wasior in helping people. We would distribute the fund raised by this event to the Red Cross.
This charity event is also supported by:
- Rijksuniversiteit Groningen
- Indonesian Embassy in the Netherlands
- Indonesian Student Organization (PPI Groningen)

Untill now, we don’t have any respons from you about that day. we played for free and we helped you with the organisation and give you the chance to use our PA installation for nothing. At least we expected a little bit respons and thanks, or send us some photo’s of that day.
